| What does this list show? |
At a first glance this list seems to show the popularity of people's names! It'd be really nice to claim that's what it does - and if you don't care about the accuracy of your science, you could go ahead and claim that! However, what it really shows is the frequency that words and phrases were entered into the anagram engine. There could be just as many "Johns" entered their name as Edgars who entered their friend's name "John". So don't read too much into it. |
| There are some strange words? | Yep. Not all "words" make sense, depending on what the user entered (e.g.scrabble players sometimes enter strings of letters like 'xcjulopi'). Also, if a user doesn't put spaces between their words then (currently) the whole phrase is just treated as one big word. |
| My word isn't there! | Quite possibly! Creating the list is processor intensive and not realtime. So it's created offline as a batch job using historical data, perhaps several months old. So don't expect to enter something, and then come back here and see it in the list. You probably need to wait a couple of months! |
